A Project by Yann Arthus Bertrand

"There are more than six billion of us on Earth, and there will be no sustainable development if we cannot manage to live together. That is why 6 billion Others is so important to me. I believe in it because it concerns all of us and because it encourages us to take action. I hope that each one of us will want to reach out and make these encounters, to listen to other people and to contribute to the life of 6 billion Others by adding our own experiences and expressing our desire to live together."

Amazing 360 video: yellowBird | See the world like never before (& best longest url ever) - thanks Matt!

bbc

We proudly present the behind the scenes footage of the comedy serie Ideal. It’s another good example of how you could use 360° video, and give the user more control. For example you could focus on the actor you like best. Imagine the yellowBird technology is used in soap and real-life series.

“Do you enjoy watching Ideal but get the feeling you might be missing something? Do you ever yearn to spin the camera round or suddenly make it point at the ceiling in the middle of a scene for no particular reason?

Now you can! Using some of the most advanced technology imaginable we can now offer an interactive 360 degree view of one of the scenes from the show as it was being filmed. Find out once and for all what happens behind the camera.” – source

A selection of the photos taken during this project can be found on Facebook.

Do you think this is interesting for you or one of your clients, send us an email and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

5D|10 Conference Postponed for Now! keep an eye out for future events

IMPORTANT NEWS:
5D CONFERENCE POSTPONED

Dear Friends,

As a key part of the audience and community of 5D, we regret to tell you that we have decided to postpone our next 5D conference planned for this October.

Given that the founding presenters (ADG and UAM) are both non-profit organizations, we have always worked with stringent financial requirements to cover the ambitious vision we all have for 5D. This year we have not been able to secure the needed level of external sponsorship funding in time to make the external financial commitments required to stage the event. We also feel it is essential, for the sponsors who have supported us since 2008, to ensure that when we do have an event with their involvement, it is a total success.

So while this is a short-term setback, it is impossible to ignore the energy and demand for the continuance of the 5D organism, in whatever new and improved form that emerges in the next weeks.

With your continued interest we will communicate with you in this space and through our other social media channels as the details of the new 5D event emerge. In the meantime, also watch this space for continuing 5Distributed and partner events.

Thank you for your interest in 5D and please feel free to share your thoughts with us through our Facebook page, 5D Conference. As you can see below, we have made the 5D conversation global through our 5Distributed Events and will continue to nurture this important exploration.

Warm regards,

Alex and Chris

Excerpt from full story:

'UK Pavilion's Afterlife

Heatherwick Studio reports that the Seed Cathedral has already found favour with the Chinese public, who have nick-named the pavilion 'Pu Gong Ying', which translates as 'The Dandelion'. We are also glad to hear that the studio have planned for the afterlife of the pavilion when the World Expo ends.

"After the Expo, just as dandelion seeds are blown away and disperse on the breeze, the Seed Cathedral's 60,000 optic hairs, each one containing the huge potential of life, will be distributed across China and the UK to hundreds of schools as a special legacy of the UK Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai Expo."'
