Interactive poster campaign for Twilight

Brazilian digital agency, Ginga, created this interactive poster campaign for Twilight. Launched in Dec. 2008, it was designed for multiple installations in Sao Paolo subway stations. An embedded camera allowed users to transform themselves into werewolves and vampires, as well as watch trailers & download an app via bluetooth.

Their data on their integrated campaign shows big numbers:

Over 4.5 million people reached by the subway campaign over a month.

One of the top 10 box-offices in 2008 in Brazil.

Over 180,000 content downloads via Bluetooth.

Ebb & Flow #7: Big Spaceship End Tag

I've heard Josh Hirsch, Ministry of Technology at Big Spaceship, describe their smoke machine as one of their most important purchases and you can see it in use here. They have a great documentary video of the creation of this tag, playing around with the smoke machine. You might see get to see it at a future presentation...

Ebb & Flow #6: Hulkamania

As I'm just watching Loutit's Hulkmania for the first time, I can't resist including it in this series....

One of my favourite examples is no longer online - San Francisco ad agency, Publicis & Hal Riney, had a gestural interface on their website that allowed you to 'control' a cloud of red ink. Using your webcam, your arm & hand movements controlled your access to the content. Their site is currently under construction so I'll be watching to see what they unveil next.
