J.J. Abrams 'mystery box' 2008 TED talk is still worth listening to, especially in the context of thinking about building story worlds. Also explains a lot about LOST.

Just watched the trippy trailer for Illeana Douglas' upcoming Easy to Assemble webisodes (it gets quite hallucinogenic). I'd posted a link to the existing webisodes yesterday & then waking up this am I found an email from Illeana Douglas who wrote:
Hey
Love your blog, and yes this is the future of artists support through branding. We have new episodes on Jan 20th on My Damn Channel that I am very proud of/ Please check them out, and thanks again for the mention!
Best,
Illeana Douglas
Her speedy & gracious reply is another example of how quick the turnaround now is between content creators & viewers. Thank Illeana!
I've been talking a lot with friends about the securitization of Vancouver for the Winter Olympics. This ad campaign asking the public to report suspicious behaviour has been running since at least the start of December. Note that here the 'suspicious' is someone photographing a security camera. Launched in 2008, this social network/project is still going strong
6.1 million viewers & counting after 2 seasons - watch this & think about where branding is going - is this a model for the future of entertainment?
Not my usual post - this is one trippy mind-f@#k ad campaign - I won't say anymore..
Look what's back!
